It has been a blessing to be in Haiti for Spring Break. It has been a great two weeks ministering to my people. We had a great time teaching and loving our brothers and sisters just as they love us and taught us as well. I really felt the time went by so fast and there was so much more that could be accomplished, but I thank my God who has set a fixed time for everything. It was so good to have the Moody team in my town. Words cannot express the joy that it brought me to have them there and share Christ with the village through songs, biblical teaching, crafts, plays, even through their interaction with the children. I always believed and felt deeply inside that God has called me for a great purpose and wants to accomplish a great thing in this village.
We praise God for the great fruit we saw right away, and we believe there is more to come. The first week we worked in Montrouis in my home church with a local school, and we had four young women who came to know the Lord personally. The second week in my home town, about eleven high school students came to faith in Christ as well. Praise God! This is just the beginning of what God will continue to do. Thank you to you all who were praying. Please continue to pray for the seeds that are planted. It was sad leaving Haiti in a short amount of time like this, but school would not permit me to stay any longer. I know all the students wish they could stay longer.
I am very thankful for the great burden he has placed in my heart for my people in Haiti, especially the people in my village. All my study and prayer revolve around those two big purposes: to see all the people of Haiti come to know Christ as the truth and the eternal life, and that the people of Haiti, especially those in my village, will be educated both mentally and spiritually about the triune God.
The group had a great time for sure. They left many tears as they departed Haiti. I have a lot of school work to catch up during the last few weeks that are left before the semester is over. Please continue to pray for me. Nevertheless, I am thrilled to be back in the routine of studying God’s word again. It was great to see family and friends back home.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Kesmy – what an incredible blessing to be able to go back to your village and win souls to the Lord – God has called you for such a time as this! I will continue to lift you up in prayer!
Looks like you had a great time sharing God’s love and spreading the gospel of Jesus. When do you graduate from moody? And how do you want God to do with you afterwards? God bless.
I graduate in Spring 2014, and I am praying that God provides me with resources to start an orphanage in my village and an educational center the summer following my graduation. Our ministry, Mighty Grace ministries is looking for people who would support us. After we are running I would for God to send me to graduate school at Dallas Theological seminary for Biblical Theology for better equipping to preach and teach his word. you will soon see our ministry page in this blog or you can follow us in Facebook. God bless you!
Sounds wonderful; could you send me a mission statement and the goals of your ministry?
Is there any reason you chose Dallas Theological seminary? I’m sure their are several in Florida that will satisfy your education for preaching and teaching God’s Word.
