HAPPY NEW YEAR

This is a New Year the Lord gives us. Let us rejoice and be glad in Him. As I sit in my room thinking of all God has accomplished in my life and how far he has taken me, it gives me courage to say blessed be the year 2012. God plan for us is to live our lives anew with this New Year.  Let us live 2012 as if it is our last. Our resolution should be to live holy everyday by worshiping and pleasing the creator, God. There are some false teachers who predicted the date of the end of the world. Let this not be your belief, for Christ has promised us neither a date nor time. “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:36-37).

”Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is” (Ephesians5:15-17). To live a wise life is to always remind and ask yourself “what is God’s will for my life today.” The unwise do as they please, without examining the cost. The great philosopher Socrates said, “The unexamined lives are not worth living.”  Examine your life this year to see what is missing and ask God what you are missing to fill that spot. The examined life is one who sees that he is here for a purpose and he can only find this purpose in Christ Jesus by surrounding his life to him. Jesus will guide him and lead him to that Purpose he is made for.

This year is an opportunity given to you from God, so make the most of it. Make the most of it by living as if it was a chance given to please God. There will never be another year like 2012 again so take the opportunity to make your resolution to live a life that is acceptable to God. While the days are evil let your resolution be to point the oppressed to Jesus Christ. This is our duty for 2012. Always search for God’s will for your life everyday not just for January 1, 2012, but until he returns to take you home. I wish you a very best Happy New Year. I hope you find God will for your life everyday as you live and enjoy 2012.
