The Beginning of the School year

I have had a really good break in MI with family and friends. Thank God for a New Year and his providence for this New Year in my life. I am in Chicago once again and I think this year going to be fun. I am back to my lovely routine at moody. It is so nice to be back. I have been very busy with the choir since the day I arrived back. We have two full days practicing for the winter tour. I am so excited to start school on Monday, for I know the Lord has lot of new things to teach me this year.

The Lord is faithful with His promises. I am very thankful for the fact he has brought me back to moody again. I thank him so much for the peace of heart he gives me at the beginning of this year. Because of His promises, I find pleasure in life. This life here on earth is full of pain and difficulty, but the fact He gives His peace I am able to hold on and follow His plan for my life. He says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27).  I know everything that I have been able to accomplish here at Moody is through His love and power that enable me to accomplish them all.

Thank you for your prayer and support, and please continue pray for me. Prayer is the key to God’s door, and I believe His door of mercy will open and continue to pour out upon me if you keep remembering me on your prayers. Pray for me that in the midst of all the hard work and circumstances that His peace may remain with me. Pray for His wisdom and understanding this semester, and pray that he gives me a listening ear to understand every lecture in class. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Pray for the Moody Men’s collegiate choir as well. We have winter tour next weekend. Pray that God open the door where it needs to be open so we may be able to share His gospel that He has committed unto us.  All the glory be to the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11).

You are always such a blessing to me and you have just what I need to hear in my walk with the Lord! I have not been sleeping well these days – too much worry and not enough peace. Thank you for your reminder of God’s words about peace!!

I think I should print off your posts, laminate them, and re-read them everyday – maybe then all the lessons you give me from God’s Word will sink in 🙂 !!

You continue to be a blessing to me and I thank you that you are allowing God to use you in such a mighty way!! Thank you for sharing!
