It has been more than a month since I last give you my updates. I believe this is self explanatory. As you can tell classes have kept me very busy this semester. The classes are hard but really fun and I do love them all. Last month was a huge blessing for me especially during Moody Bible Institute founder’s week. It did my heart good and inspired me deeply. We were busy during this week, but it was really an awesome time of prayer and worship. It was one of the most blessed weeks in my life since I have been to Chicago. Every speaker had so much to contribute. Francis Chan seriously touched my heart. He really reminded me of my passion for the gospel and the people around me. His emphasis was that the gospel is not just about nice speech, but rather both speech and action by reflecting Christ in all. Ravi Zacharias on the last night left my heart pounding upon God’s word. God has been faithful to his word with us.
It is already Spring Break. Time is run by so fast. I will be touring with the Moody Men’s collegiate choir to New York and Pennsylvania performing several concerts which I’m really excited about. We will be singing in about 18 different churches. It is a great experience for me being part of the men’s choir. I know for sure the Lord will bless our time and give us a safe trip on our journey. I am truly blessed to be in the men’s choir. Every tour and concert we have had in the past always has been a blessed time through music and friendship and, most of all, the presence of God. I know for myself in particular it has been a huge open door for me to have the opportunity to minister to people. There are always questions brought to me when I’m on tour, these conversations bring tears of joy, when people hear how God’s blessed my life in spites of my circumstances. “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, wehave peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And weboast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but wealso glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” (Romans5:1-5). Over the years I watch carefully how God has moved me from place to place, and there is reason for that. I realized He always has a great purpose for taking me wherever he brings me.
I’m so grateful for all God has been doing in my life. Every day I learn more and more to depend on Him. It is such a blessing and grace to have the Spirit of God living inside of your heart. I realize what God has accomplished in my life is because of all his grace and love. It helps me to understand that I have nothing my own to boast on but on Christ Jesus. People cannot believe how I do what I do. I myself cannot even grasp or understanding the privilege that God has given me. What a God we serve! God is really the source of all joy. I learn this even in my stressful time because of the hope He has placed within me. Jesus tell us,”But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (Peter 3:15).
I want to ask you to remember a few prayer requests as you reading this blog today. Please pray for Save Haiti mission. Pray for God’s providence for the children and the staff of save Haiti mission. Pray for God’s presence and his word to continually teach there. Pray for Touch Ministry. Pray for their ministry in Haiti. They have been training lots of young men and women in the word of God. Pray that God gives them strength and patience in their ministry. Pray for el shaddai learning center. Pray for Giving Hope Rescue Mission that God may bless those children with a great future, and give the staff passion and patience to work with these children according to his will. Pray for NewVision Haiti that God blesses their ministry and gives them a sense of unity within the community. God is faithful and I believe He has a great plan for Haiti as we can see through some awesome missionaries he is using in Haiti. “And pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much” (James 5:16).
“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
I thank God every time I remember you, Kesmy. I am so glad for your touring experience with the Men’s Collegiate Choir. I did that for three years, way back when it was called the Men’s Glee Club! It influenced much of my life and helped me overcome some personal issues and grow closer to my brothers in Christ.
Pray for me and Oscoda Baptist Church as we seek to do God’s perfect will here in northern Michigan.
