Our hope in God is our strength in our suffering. The Haitian has a proverb that says, “Hope brings life” (my interpretation). The idea is that where there is hope, there is motivation and inspiration to continue living. If you can give someone hope, you can shape their future.

In psalms 39:7, we see that the psalmist is suffering, but he is sure that the Lord is responsible. He looked up for hope in the Lord. After crying, he stood and said, “(But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you! ” He took a stand to silence the voices around him.
When facing God’s discipline, we must stay with hope in God. The suffering is hard, but the psalmist remains silent because it is God’s doing. He doesn’t want to complain or say something that misrepresents God in front of the wicked. The psalmist is suffering because of his sin. He recognizes this and knows his healing can only come from the Lord. He prays, knowing there is no more to say other than confess and wait on the Lord. Nowhere else can he turn for hope? Yes, the God who disciplines us is also our only hope in trouble.

The psalmist teaches us that a person without hope cannot endure suffering. Where is your hope? We should not trouble when the wicked prosper, and we suffer. My encouragement to you is not to lose hope in God. When the pain is unbearable, close your door and cry to GOD. Cry with hope. 1 Peter 1:21 tells us our hope is assured, “Through him, you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” Christians have faith and hope in Christ’s work. Jesus has defeated Our suffering. We are on the side of victory.
Whether your suffering results from sin or innocence, do not let others deviate you from the only place of hope. Today, God shows us that we can put our hope in Him by giving us his son. We have faith in the God who raised Jesus from the dead and gave him glory. “Thanks to Christ, we have faith in God who raised him from the dead, in God who gave him glory. Through Jesus, we have confidence in GOD. He is our hope. Just like Jesus after his Suffering, God exalted him, and we have hope that he will raise us high after our suffering. The Haitians put it well: “Hope brings life.” For us Christians, this is more true. We cry, “Our hope is in you, Lord.”

Espwa nou nan Bondye se fòs nou nan soufrans nou. Ayisyen gen yon pwovèb ki di: “Espwa fè viv”. Ki vréman vle di  kote ki gen espwa, gen motivasyon ak enspirasyon pou kontinye viv. Si ou ka bay yon moun espwa, ou ka fòme avni li.

Nan sòm 39:7, nou wè ke salmis la ap soufri, men li sèten ke Seyè a responsab. Li rete chéche  espwa nan Seyè a. Li chèche espwa ak dlo nan zye’l. Apre li fin kriye, li kanpe epi li di: “(Men koulye a, Seyè, kisa m ap chèche? Lespwa mwen se nan ou! “Sòm 39:7. Li pran yon pozisyon pou fèmen bouch vwa ki bò kote l ‘ yo, ki vle akize li, pran plezi nan soufrans li silanse yo pa silans li.

Lè n ap fè fas ak disiplin Bondye, nou dwe rete ak espwa nan Bondye. Soufrans la di se vre, men salmis la rete an silans paske se Bondye ki ap aji. Li nan afè ak Bondye, pa lòt moun. Li pa vle plenyen oswa di yon bagay ki mal reprezante Bondye devan mechan. Salmis la ap soufri akoz peche l. Li rekonèt sa e li konnen gerizon li ka soti sèlman nan men Senyè a. Li priye, li konnen pa gen plis pou di ke konfese epi tann Senyè a. Pa gen okenn lòt kote li ka vire al deyè espwa? Wi, Bondye ki disipline nou an se sèl espwa nou nan pwoblèm tou.
Psalmis la anseye nou ke yon moun ki san espwa pa ka andire soufrans. Matin an kesyon mwen gen pou ou, Ki kote espwa w ye? Nou pa dwe dezèzpwa lè  mechan ki ap prospere e nou menm nap soufri. Lè yap ri nou, nou pa dwe eksite.

Atravè Jezi, nou gen konfyans nan BONDYE. Se li ki espwa nou. Menm jan apre soufrans li Bondye te leve l ‘ pi wo, nou gen espwa ke li pral leve nou wo apre soufrans nou yo tou. Provèb Ayisyan an byen di “Espwa fè viv” sa plis verite pou nou menm kretyen.  Tankou salmis la nou ka kriye, “espwa nou se nan ou, Seyè.”
